***Background*** It will be very few parents of young children who haven’t heard of Mick Inkpen and his books. In fact there are probably a lot of you out there who already own some Wibbly Pig or Kipper books or videos. The story of Kipper has sold over 6 million copies and through simple artwork and dialogue it’s no surprise that Inkpen has been awarded many prizes for his books as well as a BAFTA for the Kipper film. Thomas is 20 months old. He is a typical toddler. He runs around, falls over a lot, shouts at me when I give him what he wants (what's that all about?!). He loves trains, tractors, Tigger and books. He loves books so much that he has been known to give them a goodnight kiss before the long climb up the stairs to bath and bed. And another book.
