Wild Child - Gail Miller (Wild Child - Gail Miller)
Member Name: sheehawkins
Advantages: Good source of information about the disorder Disadvantages: none
Wild Child by Gail Miller is the true story of Joey, and his mother’s fight to get him diagnosed with Attention Deficit Hyperactive Disorder (ADHD). Gail kept a diary during the nine years that it took to get a diagnosis, and this is the very moving, sometimes funny story of those long hard years. Anyone who has a child with ADHD will empathise with Gail and her family, and those readers who haven’t yet come across the disorder will be left in no uncertain terms of the awful struggle parents of these children go through every day. Gail and other mothers like her should be given a medal. Summary: |
