Wings is the final instalment in Terry Pratchett’s Bromeliad trilogy, a fantasy epic for children, though as usual there’s a lot in there for children to enjoy as well. These stories are about the Nomes (you read it right), a small race of people who came from another planet so many years ago that they don’t even realise that they’re not indigenous to earth. In the first book, Truckers, a young Nome named Masklin leads his small group of Nomes to a new life at the Store, only to find that hundreds of Nomes are already there. This is the final book in the PTerry’s nome trilogy that is aimed at Children but is definitely suitable for any bigger kids who like light hearted adventure stories. The story is about nomes, a race of 4-inch high people whose landing craft crashed on Earth 15,000 years ago. Over the centuries the human and nome races have grown apart: as humans became more evolved, nomes forgot their history and lived a subsistence life where ever they could not be found by humans. ____Wings____ This is the third and final book in the bromeliad series and the book i liked best. Other books The first book introduces us to the nomes(yes the spelling is right)and involves the leader Masklin leading his group of nomes to a store where they end up meeting thousands of other nomes( a number he hadn't even heard of before). They end up having to leave the store as it is getting closed down at they end up in a disused quarry.Masklin has a feeling that this can't last forever though.to be able to settle down the nomes must go home. In the second book Masklin and some other nomes go off on an adventure -book two is about ... Read the complete review

This is the third and final book in the 'Digger's' trilogy, and contains the usual sense of fun and light hearted humour that only Pratchett can acchieve. there are many surprises in store for for the Gnomes of humble begginings in the finale of the series and this book will be thoroughly enjoyed by all those who have the pleasure of reading it. If you have already enjoyed this or any of the other book's in this trilogy then I reccomend that you also read the Discworld book's which continue to show the brilliance of Pratchett for all ages. ...
