Tiffany Aching is back and this time she's meeting Jack Frost on his own terms. The Wintersmith is the personification of the one who brings and creates winter. He embodies winter, everything about winter is his essence. The book reads in an unsual way. It's not the standard linear format we're used to from Terry. It starts with one possible ending then walks away from it to a much earlier time and Tiffany is taken to watch a ceremony where she foolhardily joins in and ends up replacing Summer and being pursued by Summers lover who is Winter - The Wintersmith. I am a fan of Discworld books. You'll find several reviews for different books in the series in my area. It's hardly surprising that since I've liked (pretty much) the rest of the series, I'd write a positive review on this one. There are a few things about the book I don't like, but that doesn't stop it being a great read from beginning to end. ~~~ The Setting ~~~ Discworld is a flat world carried through the universe on the back of four elephants standing on a giant turtle.
