Ooh er. Eek! Can I really write an opinion about this book? Let's state the obvious to begin with: If men have the need for a little 'light relief', then the top shelves of most newsagents will cater to their desires (I'm not stating that ALL men need this sort of entertainment, but if they want it, they've got it). For the younger male of the species, the soft porn titillation of Loaded etc. may suffice; for those who need their daily breast, the tabloids always oblige; and for the more hardened of connoisseurs, a myriad of magazine titles sold in brown paper bags or hidden surreptitiously within the pages of The Financial Times. Having sampled a few ... Read the complete review

The book was written by Nancy Friday. It is a book about sexual enchantment, a true telling and educational because the author tells a bit about the history of sex and also gives tips on sexuality. She explains terms that every one might not be very familiar with. And you really have the feeling to learn something useful and it can improve your sex life tremendously. She talks about the “Soixante-huitarde Ideology”, the seventies ideology, period where the absolute sexual permissivity totally came out, the society is ready to disclose what used to be ignored before, meaning incest, paedophile, and other outrageous sexual acts. It ... Read the complete review

Women On Top By Nancy Friday When you think about how far the female struggle has come since the days when women were simply walking wombs, homemakers and second class citizens, it’s hard to imagine not having the freedom of speech and sexual liberation that we women enjoy today. Walking into Ann Summers and buying a vibrator is no longer seen by the majority as dirty, or indecent, or wrong. Most women I know own one, and there is no shame in using it. We are proud of our collective orgasms, of our awareness of our bodies, of our freedom to experience them without guilt or fear of reprisal. Our fantasies are an accepted part of our sexual experience now ... Read the complete review

This is an update of my first ever opinion on dooyoo and admittedly it was rather poor at the time! Having said that how much can you say about a book that describes in vivid, anatomical detail the deepest, innermost sexual fantasies of women? Well without getting thrown off dooyoo for being indecent! This book is a collection of womens fantasies as written by them, and put together by Nancy Friday. They are frank, upfront, very descriptive and in some cases funny, not to mention very odd at times! It breaks the sexual taboo that 'nice girls don't talk about sex let alone think about it'. The women that describe their utmost ... Read the complete review

Women On Top by Nancy Friday. It is a well known fact that men think about sex every 7 seconds on average, at least that's what we've been led to believe. This book explores the less well documented area of womens sexual fantasies, and it is interesting to say the least. As a male it always struck me that the fairer sex were less interested in sex (maybe I'm doing something wrong?!) but this book has opened my eyes to say the least. The author has published dozens of female fantasies from the run of the mill kind, to those involving groups, animals etc so I don't reccomend this book if you are at all prudish about this topic. ...
