Carol Anne Davis sets out to destroy the myth that the only time women and serial killers get together is when women are the victims. This has been a fairly widespread belief for a long time, and indeed it's hard to conjure up a picture of a woman when you think of a serial killer. Those few women who have entered public consciousness as the worst kind of murderer - Myra Hindley and Rose West - have always been seen to be working in conjunction with a man.
