Woody Allen on Woody Allen was first published in 1993 and consists of a series of interviews Allen conducted with Swedish journalist and filmmaker Stig Bjorkman over several weeks about his films and career. The book devotes a chapter to each of the films (it has been updated but obviously isn't bang up to date) starting with 1969's Take the Money and Run - which was the first 'unadulterated' Woody Allen directed picture - and each of these cinematic chapters has Allen and Bjorkman discussing what he was trying to accomplish, the production, themes, actors, influences, his thoughts on how each specific work turned out from his point of view and much more besides ...
