I picked this book up in one of those cheap book shops which normally sell unsuccessful print runs of ex footballers ghosted biographies at knock down prices. It was £6 rather than the $29 Canadian dollars printed on the back, which led me to believe it was some sort of import. It looked interesting, plenty of maps, charts, lists and pictures and the print was different and the pages well set out. I took it on holiday with me, more in hope than expectation, settled down on the beach, started to read it and immediately became hooked. Believe me its one of the most interesting books I've ever read. I like travel books - Bryson, McCarthy, etc. ... Read the complete review
