I am lucky to have stayed at a Sivananda Yoga center in India once. It was an excellent week of healthy living. There was a sesion of yoga in the morning and one in the afternoon. It was at an ashram in Kerela, South India, and it was my first experience of yoga. This book contains all the positions we were taught, I bought it so that I could continue the yoga, and learn new moves. I started doing some beginner yoga classes at college (I only went to two), and was inspired to buy this book as I found it a much more enjoyable and relaxing way to tone up than doing military style exercises, as suggested in magazines for getting a 'bikini body' or whatever. *Look* This is a large, hardback book with a simple design and cover. The inside pages have a very similar look to the front cover, with thin clear fonts and photographic images taking you through the exercises. Some large photos of relaxing forest scenes are used to good effect to introduce the different chapters.
