The book contains a detox diet to start the program off but I found this contained some very strange food which when I did buy them I didn't like them at all. I can see why people loose weight as quite often I just looked at the menu and it wasn't appetising at all. One of the days recommended eating a whole pepper for a snack which to be honest I couldn't do. I didn't follow the diet to the let...more

I bought this after being an avid watcher of the TV series. I wanted to follow some of Gillian advice not to lose weight but to look at ways to eat healthier. The book contains a detox diet to start the program off but I found this contained some very strange food which when I did buy them I didn't like them at all. It contains all sorts of interesting sections, but the best is undoubtedly one where you are presented with ...  Read the complete review

Having seen Dr Gillian McKeith's Channel 4 television programme of the same name, I wanted to get this book so I could follow some of the tips: After all, even though the programme horrified me, I can't deny that all the 'victims' did lose loads of weight and look a lot better, which always interests me. I never bought the book though, until I saw my copy in the charity shop for the grand total of £2.00. Brilliant, I thought, if it doesn't work then at least I didn't pay the full cover price of £12.99 ! This is a paperback, around 10x12 inches, and the first thing you notice is it's extremely colourful - not only the cover, but all the way through: ...  Read the complete review
