I bought this after being an avid watcher of the TV series. I wanted to follow some of Gillian advice not to lose weight but to look at ways to eat healthier. The book contains some great advice firstly you look at your own body such as you tongue and almost do a self diagnosis yourself and find out what vitamins you are lacking and how it's affecting your internal organs. She then tells you the best food to eat to rectify the lack of certain vitamins. The book contains a detox diet to start the program off but I found this contained some very strange food which when I did buy them I didn't like them at all. I can see why people loose weight as ... There's a new thing we are doing at work, where you can bring in and take books for free. I was there, taking this book for my wife, and the boss came over. I felt like a prize nob, being a six foot 2 skin-head man, and admitting I was picking up this one haha. This is a great book. The goblin-like Dr Gillian McKeith has written a spin-off book from her poo checking TV series, and at first I was sceptical, but I haven't been able to keep my head out of it. Having seen Dr Gillian McKeith's Channel 4 television programme of the same name, I wanted to get this book so I could follow some of the tips: After all, even though the programme horrified me, I can't deny that all the 'victims' did lose loads of weight and look a lot better, which always interests me. I never bought the book though, until I saw my copy in the charity shop for the grand total of £2.00. Brilliant, I thought, if it doesn't work then at least I didn't pay the full cover price of £12.99 !
