I tend to use this book just as an overview as I find its got some interesting insights and she tends to follow the opinion of this is what a certain theory says and this is what another theory says and this is what most parents normally do, so you pick which one suits you. You dont feel like you're being preached to, but she does spell out the consequences of doing certain things yet still leaving the choice up to you.
