As usual, Mr. Hill brought the book to life. It started by providing just enough information about the main character, FBI Agent David Stafford, and the problems in his office to make you want to see what would happen next to the poor guy who had just tried to do the right thing. From there, the story took off and kept my attention until the very last word -- literally. "Zero Option" by Chris Ryan is one of his best works to date. For those of you who don't know who Ryan is, he's an ex-SAS man turned writer. Ryan's first novel was non-fiction and was entitled "The One that Got Away". He was one of the men from the doomed "Bravo Two Zero" patrol during the Gulf War in the 90's. Ryan escaped from Iraq under his own power, over hundreds of k's of desert. Ryan left the SAS shortly afterwards and started a succesful writing career.
