HP 21XL ... s Genuine printer cartidges betther quilty and more prints. Not just a gimmick. These come shrink wrapped so you are sure that none of the ink has dryed up. A bit like fairy liquid although you can buy other cartidges for your printer they do not last as long and are therefore a false economy. I have found that refilled or non-genuine cartidges do not last as long and in one insatnce did not fit well into the printer causing print jams as the process of taking the cartidge apart to refill it means it is not always top quality. The prints produced on photo paper and cartidge were sharp and easy to read. There was no smears and print quilty reamined consistent until the ... Epson Archival Matte Paper ... Archival Matte Paper is slightly heavier in weight than their standard Heavyweight Matte Paper. It is rated as 192gsm and costs just under £13 for 50 A4 sheets. It is also available in A3 size (297mm x 420mm) for around £30 for 50 sheets, and in oversize A3+ (330mm x 483mm) for around £32 for 50 sheets. Being a slightly heavier weight makes the paper feel much more substantial. It is a nice bright white paper, with a very smooth finish. I think this is worth the extra money over the cheaper Heavyweight Matte as it has a lot of benefits if you really scrutinize image quality. For colour photos the improvement is smaller. Epson Matte Paper Heavyweight ... is what I would term as one of Epson s mid-range papers. They do an archival matte paper too, which is more expensive. This particular paper is available for around £7 for 50 A4 sheets (shown here), or just under £20 for 50 larger A3 sheets. If your printer can handle is, you can also get oversized A3+ sheets for around £30 (again for 50 sheets). This paper is rated as 167gsm, which might not sound much, but is quite rigid to touch. It is a nice white finish, not super bright, but nice for photos. It is single sided, so can only be printed on one side.
