Polaroid PoGo ZINK Photo Paper:
... was really surprised when I opened my birthday present from my other half and found it was a Polaroid Pogo. I had never heard of it before. He got me the Pogo itself, a travel cover/carrier and a pack of photo paper. The paper pack has 70 sheets (yes I know the product on Dooyoo shows the 30 sheet pack but oh well) in it and retails roughly at £12. The paper is 2x3" (5x7.6cm) so good for a borderless wallet ... Epson Archival Matte Paper ... Archival Matte Paper is slightly heavier in weight than their standard Heavyweight Matte Paper. It is rated as 192gsm and costs just under £13 for 50 A4 sheets. It is also available in A3 size (297mm x 420mm) for around £30 for 50 sheets, and in oversize A3+ (330mm x 483mm) for around £32 for 50 sheets. Being a slightly heavier weight makes the paper feel much more substantial. It is a nice bright white paper, with a very smooth finish. I think this is worth the extra money over the cheaper Heavyweight Matte as it has a lot of benefits if you really scrutinize image quality. For colour photos the improvement is smaller. Epson Matte Paper Heavyweight ... is what I would term as one of Epson s mid-range papers. They do an archival matte paper too, which is more expensive. This particular paper is available for around £7 for 50 A4 sheets (shown here), or just under £20 for 50 larger A3 sheets. If your printer can handle is, you can also get oversized A3+ sheets for around £30 (again for 50 sheets). This paper is rated as 167gsm, which might not sound much, but is quite rigid to touch. It is a nice white finish, not super bright, but nice for photos. It is single sided, so can only be printed on one side. HP Superior Inkjet Paper 180 ... s Superior Inkjet paper comes in a 50 sheet packet as standard. It s marketed as being useful for brochures and flyers as it doesn t meet the requirements necessary for photo printing. However, that s not to say it won t produce decent looking results - colours come out with lifelike hues, and the overall contrast levels are good (when using genuine HP inks). The 180 in the products title refers to the thickness of the paper (180 grams per square metre), which is actually quite thin for specialist printing paper.
