Advantages: Great stickyness
Disadvantages: -
In my work I have to spend a good bit of time writing letters, and then sending them out in the post. I know now-a-days email is what everyone uses, but there's still a lot of 'hard copies' sent out in my place. Maybe we're just a bit slow to become a 'paper free' office!
The address labels we use in work are Avery Labels, and I find them very good. I must admit that I haven't used any other brand to compare them with, but if it ain't broke don't fix it, that's what I always say!
You can download free templates for Microsoft Office to use with the labels, so that all you have to do is type in your addresses into the template, put the labels in your printer, and then hit 'print'!. Couldn't be simpler.
You can use mail-merge (setting up label details automatically in a spreadsheet or database of records, I think) with these labels too.
They come in a umber of different shapes and sizes, so you're bound to get something that fits your labelling requirements. I generally use 21 labels per sheet (7 x 3) for my address labels on envelopes.
You can get either white labels or transparent ones, depending on your preference.
They last for a long time, years, and do not lose their stickyness or colour.
They are available from all good stationery stockists now!

- 13/03/08 Didn't know about the free templates. Publisher has them 'built in' as part of the page set-up. |
