Epson Photo Paper
Advantages: Quick drying, glossy
Disadvantages: Quite thin
We like to print our own photographs out and have them framed around the house. We have a wall that is full of quirky photo frames and each one has a great photo on display inside. We have tried a number of different photo papers and I am not particular loyal to a set brand. I do tend to favour HP or Epson products though as they are reliable and suitable for my printer.
==Price and availability==
The photo paper costs £8.99 for a packet of 30 sheets which are a4 sized.
The a4 sized paper is standard size and you can get 2 5 x 7 inch photos out of the page or you can print on it full size. There is a shiny coating to the paper that gives the photos a glossy finish, although it is not as glossy as other paper I have had. The paper is 102gsm thick which is actually quite thin and suitable for ink jet printers. The underneath of the paper is smooth but it is a more matt finish to it. Care is needed when inserting the paper so that you always print on the right side.
The paper is suitable for colour, black and white, text and images.
I find that the paper gives a lovely finish to photographs but it is not as glossy as some other paper I have used. It has a nice sheen to it but because it is not overly thick it has a cheaper appearance, or a less professional appearance at any rate. I find the paper much better for documents that include images rather than actual photos as I feel a tad let down by the quality. They can be framed but they do not have the same finish as other pictures.
This is good paper and it has a nice sheen to it. It is quite thin though and I think it is this that hampers the quality. The ink does dry quick on the paper though and the overall quality is good; there are no smudges and the lines are crisp. The quality of the paper is good, however I do find it quite expensive for what it is.
Summary: Average photo paper
