Advantages: Great quality reliable prints
Disadvantages: Price, when bought normally
Epson Photo quality Glossy paper. Superb quality paper from Epson, which is designed for use primarily with the Epson stylus range, and can be used in other Inkjet printers. Costing £10 for 20 sheets, I have bought A4, but I am aware that it is sold in A3 size also. I try not to buy individual packets of paper from anywhere; I am a firm believer in buying bulk and reducing the cost per unit. I bought this paper a trial, as I have previously used many other types of glossy paper. Bought in a PC World, I paid £4.99 for the packet that we are currently using. I have a digital camera and quality scanner and we are quite capable of reproducing as good as the original prints. Although designed for 1440 Dpi colour photographs, this paper achieves maximum performance when used at 720Dpi in colour and 1440Dpi in black and white. Personally, I find that the colour bleeds too much at the higher resolution. This paper is not only great for photos; I find it highly suitable for all occasions where a certain amount of professionalism is needed. Moreover, is always guaranteed to result in crisp, sharp, documents. A downfall of this paper is unfortunately it is not colourfast, and will run is allowed to become wet, however there is a fixing agent available at most good stationers. The paper is bright white, and easy to set up to print. There is no possibility of printing on the wrong side as the paper it is only glossy on one side. As always with Epson paper, a sheet of cleaning paper is supplied in the packet. I intend to use ours to make our personalised Christmas cards this year. Hats off to Epson.
