I love experimenting with photography and enjoy printing my own photographs at home. I have an Epsom printer and only use Epsom ink in it. I thought I'd give this photograph paper a try after being recommended by a friend. He is a professional photographer so he should know what he is talking about.

The first packet I bought of this cost me around £12.99 for a pack of thirty sheets and I got them from Tesco. After being told that I had paid too much I looked around on line and found that someone was selling them on EBay for £5.99! I bought three packets and was over the moon with the saving I had incurred.
Amazon currently has packs of 30 on offer for £8.55.
The sheets measure 130 mm x 180 mm. This is the typical 5" x 7" photograph size which is perfect because it involves no trimming or cutting. I've previously bought A4 sized paper but with these already cut to size, you get a professional finish to your photographs.
The paper weight is 255 g/m2. They feel exactly the same as photographs you would collect from a store. On one side of the paper it is very glossy and the other is dull. You have to make sure you put the paper in the right way in the printer to make sure you print on the right side of the sheet.
The paper is designed for use with an ink jet printer and for print resolutions up to 1440 dpi which is an extremely high resolution.
For an ink jet printer, the results are pleasing and the quality is superb. The paper is thick and rich and forms a perfect medium for your photographs to be printed on. The colours of the images are extremely rich and vivid and the lines are sharp and crisp.
The first time I printed on this paper I was shocked at how beautiful the images were. I was also impressed with how fast the ink dried even though I do leave them to one side for a few minutes before touching them.
I would recommend people try this paper when I bought the packets from eBay, I was only paying 19p a photograph which I think is good value for money when the quality is this fantastic.
If you were buying from Amazon at the current prices you will be paying about 29p a sheet. Therefore it will be advisable to shop around.
The Epson premium glossy photo paper, is ideal for printing pictures, it is designed for use on Epson printers and it provides great quality pics.
I use the Epson bxf300 printer, I mostly use it for word documents and power points and I use regular paper for these. I once tried to print photos on the ordinary printing paper, but the quality wasn't great and it consumed quite a lot of ink. I wasn't aware that you could buy photo paper until I was buying ordinary paper in the shop and I seen this. I thought I would give it a go.
The paper usually costs around £10 for 20 sheets, this is quite expensive for paper, but it really is worth it for the quality of prints that are produced. It comes in A4 size, one side of the paper is glossy, this is the side on to which you should print as this will provide the great quality and a glossy finish. Another benefit of this paper is that I find it does not take much ink, compared to normal paper which uses a lot of ink.
Overall I am really happy with this paper, the price is a little steep but I believe it is worth it. If you are looking to produce great quality pictures at home, then this is the paper I would recommend for you.
I love taking photos and accidently back when I bought my printer, I bought the Epson R220, which prints photos apparently. About 10 years ago, people used to take photos and have them processed, whether it was done at home, professionally or in a film/photo shop. I have millions and millions of photos from when I was a child and in my teens, but as I hit my early adulthood (Im 24) I realised that I didnt have many touchable photos. They were all digital and no-one could really see them apart from me when I turned on my laptop.
As I now knew that my printer could be used for printing photos on proper photo paper, I thought I would experiment.
I first found Epson Premium Glossy Photo Paper on ebay for 99p for 25 sheets, which I thought was absolutely amazing. When I recieved the packet though, it was 4x6, but this was still good! I set up my printer and got the photos that I wanted to print all in one place and started to print away.
I found that the printer worked really well with the designated paper and the quality of the photo paper was at more than a satisfactory level. I printed lots of pictures and even handed some out to my friends. Ones with them on of course. It probably would have been a little strange if I handed photos of just me on them!
After being more than happy with the results, I bought some more of this paper in different sizes to see what I could do. I found out that even with my very amature photo skills I am able to produce good photos with the help of this paper and my printer - both Epson.
I am currently decorating my new room and Im pretty sure I want one wall just full of photos, so I guess I will need more of this paper. I find that the quality of the outcome makes printing photos fun! I love that I accidently bought a photo printer and now have a new hobbie!
This is based on the test pack supplied with the Epson Stylus Photo R285, 5"x7" paper.

Around £13 for 30 sheets of 5"x7" Paper
--- Review ---
The print quality is exceptional, with the colours showing beautifully vividly and the premium glossy finish giving the overall effect like that of a professional print shop. I use a professional printers and the highest grade paper they stock is 260 g/m2 and so it is very near printers quality without the inflated 'professional' prices. It is also very quick drying needing just a few seconds (leave a bit longer if you're worried) which is always a plus.

My personal choice for printing to achieve professional prints at home.
The Epson A4 Premium Glossy Photo Paper, is just perfect in every single way. I'm a photographer and I do almost all of my own printing and selling from home, and I needed some heavy weight paper that was relativity cheap, fast drying, could reproduce colour flawlessly, print border-less photos without smudging, and was vibrantly glossy. This Epson paper ticks all of those boxes and a few additional ones I hadn't even considered.
I've used countless brands and varieties of photo paper in the past (most of which were more expensive than this) but I feel that this Epson is by far the best. The quality of this paper really is fantastic. It's available in packs of 20 and 50, and weighing in at an impressive 255 g/m2 it promises to produce professional looking prints every single time.
The price of the paper does seem to change very often, so it will pay to show around to get the cheapest deal, to ensure value for money.
So if you are wanting to print professional looking photos at home for any purpose, then look no further as this is the holy-grail of paper.
~~~~~~~~ Epson Premium Glossy Photo Paper ~~~~~~~~~
I first started using this paper when I bought an Epson printer and I got some free paper with it. I thought the quality of this paper was fantastic and the picyures it produced were great and even though I now use a Canon printer, I still use Epson paper and there is no difference in quality.
I use the 5 x 7 inch paper. Iy comes in packs of 50 and retails for around £9.99. There are also 20 packs of A4 paper available, retailing for the same price.
It comes in a white cardboard packet with blue printing and a fish printed on the front. The packaging can be recycled. The box contains all the usual information, who made it, where it was made, what it contains, the weight etc...
Inside the box the paper is sealed in a plastic wrapper.
The paper feels quite sleek. It is a glossy finish and the back of each sheet has Epson faintly printed on it. It is 255gsm and 0.27 mm thick and can not only be used for photo's but also graphic arts. It is recommended to use with Epson printers, however I feel it works just as well with any printer.
This paper is made in Japan.
It should be stored at no higher than 25 degrees and no lower than 15 degrees and out of direct sunlight.
Personally, I found that this paper works just as good as the leading brands, and gives high quality, professional looking photos every time. I highly recommend it.
The Epson Premium Glossy Photo Paper is a high quality printing paper designed for use with the Epson Inkjet series of printers. I use an Epson Color 740 printer at home for my printing needs and playing in a band, I often need to print out things such as, covers for demo cds, or posters for our gigs. I like these to be as high quality as possible, but it seems that the normal printer / photocopier paper isn't really up to the job! Recently I came across this glossy paper in my local WH Smith and thought I would give it a whirl to see if it would improve my print quality. The paper The paper is priced at £9.99 for 20 sheets. This is quite a steep price for this limited amount of sheets. The media weight of the paper is 141 g/m2 and it comes in A4 size. One side of the paper has a glossy surface, with the other side being matt. It is important to print on the glossy side for the best print quality. This paper is designed to be used for print resolutions up to 1440 dpi, which is more than my printer can do! In use The paper is quite thick, but fits through my 740 printer without any jamming problems. I tried printing an image that used both a photo and black text, and found that the results were a significant improvement over standard printer paper. This paper is certainly the right choice if you want to produce high quality images! With the print settings at their highest, the quality is very good. Photos are very well defined and black text is very sharp and really stands out well on the page. I would say that the print quality produced with this paper is getting pretty close to that of a colour laserjet, which is impressive considering how much those printers cost! My only real gripe about this paper, is amount of sheets you get for your money. For £9.99, only 20 sheets is really not very good value! I would have liked to have seen 50 sheets for this money, but a
s with most things in life, I guess you get what you pay for! After having used this paper, my impression was that I was very pleased with the big improvement in the quality of the documents produced, but that I was paying a pretty steep price for that privilege! Conclusion I would recommend this paper to those people who use an inkjet printer, but would like to produce high quality documents. The downside is the cost of the paper, but if you are prepared to pay this price, you will get very good printing results! Thanks for reading!
