Advantages: Very good quality, engineered to be resistant to light and water
Disadvantages: Seems to run out incredibly quickly for me.
Certainly the quality of this ink cartridge is very good, it's based on the Epson DURABrite concept whereby the inks are designed to have the following beneficial and unique features:
- Water Resistance
- Light Resistance
- Extra Sharp text and graphics (as ink is not fully absorbed by the paper)
- Double Sided printing with no bleed through
- Brighter Colours on plain paper.
With all these features, this ink is particularly good, and I must say that it does lead to really good quality printed images and text. On the subject of text, this colour is second in importance to black when printing out simple writing, so it's worth stocking up on these if you do word-processing and print out quite a bit of your work. There are some very cheap immitations of this cartridge on the market, that may even cost as little as 99p. I bought one of these imitations and whilst my printer recognised it, it did not even print in the correct colour, but my images were all pink, so make sure you buy the genuine epson T0712 and not some cheap substitue.
My only gripe is that these cartridges seem to run out very quickly. I swear I do not get 415 pages out them? Oh well, perhaps it's because I do print the odd A4 photograph now and again, so perhaps I should economise slightly better with my ink.
Summary: Good ink, make sure you buy genuine epson ink, not cheap replicas!
