I don't do that much printing at home, I'm one of them people that when I run out of ink I can never be bothered to buy it again and then just end up buying a new printer when I see a cheap one going that comes with ink!!! Last week though one of my dad's friends asked me to do some typing for him, this is a bit of a regular thing and I usually give him all the reports on a memory stick but this time it was a bit of a rush job and he wanted me to print it all out. I've not had ink for aggggges and hadn't got the spare cash to buy any that day so got him to get me some, and when he arrived he had also brought me a block of this HP Copy Paper.
You get 500 sheets for about £3.00, he's got his own business so probably buys it cheaper in bulk but it's brill quality paper so is definitely worth the money.
The paper is quite thick and has got a nice feel to it, it's not exactly glossy or anything like that but the paper definitely feels nicer to the touch than the cheapo paper I usually buy from Tesco. The media weight is 80 g/m2 and it is A4 paper, you can buy the same paper in different sizes but I reckon A4 will be the size that most people buy. The paper is cut straight and I haven't come across a single sheet that is cut weird or creased up, something that sometimes does happen with cheaper paper.
This paper is a bit more technical that other paper, it's got ColourLok Technology that will give you darker blacks, brighter colours and will also help the ink to dry quicker after you've printed the pages out. I definitely agree that it dries very quick but most inks are pretty much dry as soon as the paper comes out of the printer now so this isn't that much to shout about. You probably won't notice a difference at all if you're just printing out black text but one of the pages I had to print out had a large colourful pie chart and I can definitely say that the colours in that did dry majorly fast and didn't leave the paper feeling wet for ages.
I think this paper is wicked, to me paper is paper and to be honest if I hadn't been wanting to write a review then I wouldn't have even bothered taking much notice. Even though it's good quality I will probably stick with buying cheaper paper for now because like I said I hardly ever use my printer anyway and most of the paper I DO buy goes to my 2 younger sisters for drawing on so ColourLok Technology is kind of wasted on me!
Even though I printed out 75 pages quite quickly the other day there were no paper jams in my HP printer, looking on the packet it says that it is designed to not be as dusty as other paper and the lack of dust can help stop paper jamming. My printer SOMETIMES jams but not all that often, but printing that amount of pages out would usually cause some sort of stupid error..... this time it didn't though and I reckon the paper must have helped with that.
