Advantages: Great Colour Representation
Disadvantages: A little Pricey
If you're looking to create photo prints which look as good as those processed in a lab, for me there is only one real option - 'HP Premium Plus'. The paper represents HP's top of the range printing sheets and it is designed to make your glossy documents look great.
As their flagship paper, HP has boldly announced that when used with 'viviera' inks - (the standard ink of HP Printers), you will get fade resistant prints for over 105 years - a very specific estimation!
This particular size - 100 x 150 mm, is designed to fit in the photo tray of your printer, and is a ideal for photos destined to be used in an album.
The paper is fairly expensive, costing £15.35 for a pack of 100 sheets from Amazon - However, it is worth the investment as you will get quality results. In fact, when used with my HP printer, this is the best paper I have ever used. I'm not sure how good the results would be when used with other printer brands though, and it would be a case of experimentation.
This product is nice and thick at 280 g/m2, and feels glossy and smooth. There is also a specially coated back to prevent smudging when pages are stacked, which is useful as the ink can take around a minute to fully dry.
If you own an HP printer and need to create prints of the highest quality, then Premium Plus Photo Paper is a must. Colours look great, and prints can be handled without becoming too sticky. Highly Recommended.
