Advantages: Great Colour Representation
Disadvantages: Pricey
'Premium Plus' is HP's top of the range paper - designed specifically for printing photos and other glossy documents.
HP claim that when used with 'Viviera' inks - (the standard ink of HP Printers), you will get fade resistant prints for over 105 years - a very specific estimation! - and one I obviously can't test.
This paper is expensive, at around £11 for the pack of 20 sheets - but you will get quality results. In fact, in combination with my HP Photosmart D7160 printer, this is the best paper I have ever used. I'm not sure how good the results would be when used with other printer brands however.
This product is 280 g/m2 thick, and feels glossy and smooth. There is also a specially coated back to prevent smudging when pages are stacked.
Only one side of each sheet is printable with the reverse displaying the Hewlett Packard logo. If you're looking for double sided printing, it's best to try the speciality 'brochure' range - including HP's glossy 'superior' paper.
The paper is easy to get hold of both online and in stationers and office supply shops. In fact Staples supply both this sized pack, the smaller photo sheets, and the multipack variety.
All in all, if you have an HP printer and you need to create prints of the highest quality, then Premium Plus Photo Paper is a must.
