The inks for standard printers will last for only a short time but if you are in need of pictures that last then these inks are really what you need.
I was wondering one day whether the printers that produce photo quality images had anything that lasted as long as a photo would, then i found the answer. Using the set of Fotonic inks you can produce very vibrant images with exceptional colour and clarity with the ease of standard inks. Combining these with certain papers of gloss or matt you can outlast the simple photo.
These inks are available for your Epson printers and they are just as easy to use. The reliablility is very good and you never know the difference in cleaning or leaving the inks to stand. As with other inks that are non-Epson they can dry in the printer and use up ink which costs us money but i have not had any trouble with these.
You can use the normal Epson driver but do need to adjust the colours because they are different. Do not let this put you off though because they are worth it in the long run.
If you are an amateur photographer then printing these in a graphics software(photoshop or coreldraw) can be easier as profiles(colour settings) are supplied from the website or by CD-Rom.
The only unfortunate part is that they are not re-fillable so once they are used you need new ones but its cheaper than wasting films with your camera.
I am continuing to use these as they make all my images look better and i that is what i want.
They are manufactured by Lyson who make many other inks like this for many printers. Re-fillables are also available for various printers at cheaper prices.
