Genuine Lexmark in only one for me (Lexmark Cartridge No. 16)

Advantages: Very reliable and dont need to clean out printer after blow outs

Disadvantages: Can be more expensive if you don't find them cheap

From my experience i would always use a genuine lexmark print cartridge and never use compatable cartridges. I have a few printers that use the Lexmark number 16 cartridge and have tried a fair few compatable cartridges and have nothing but problems with them.
I have had faulty ones that do not let enough ink out, ones that let to much ink out and it takes ages to clean the rollers and the print cartridge station.
I have only ever had one problem with a lexmark cartridge and took it back and they swapped it straight away without any questions.
They Lexmark 16 retails at around £20 but i get mine on ebay you can pick them up Genuine sealed unopened cartridges for around £12.50 quite often.
Make sure that you get the origional geniune Lexmark though and the best thing about the genuine Lexmark is that when you have finished with them dont through them away save them.
When you have around five empty cartridges you can seel them back on ebay a genuine empty cartridges and you will get some money back on them.

Summary: I would always buy the genuine Lexmark cartridge for reliability
