Intel Pentium Dual Core E2180 / 2 GHz ... Brought This Product in December in replace my old Altlon 64 setup then I upgraded to the E2140 and now I have the E2180. The only Difference between the two CPUS is the E2140 is 1.6Ghz and the E2180 is 2Ghz. The Great thing about this CPU is that the value is Very Good the Processor cost me £45. I have played Hell gate London and Medal of honour Airborne without any problems whatsoever and the game play is more smooth. The CPU is clocked at 2.0Ghz X 2 (4.0 GHz). The CPU performance on windows Vista is Very Good. Some people have told me to get a top of the range Dual core and say to me that this CPU is more for Basic Gaming and use in Windows XP X64. AMD Athlon 64 X2 6000+ / 3 GHz ... bought this processor, new motherboard, new video card and windows vista home premium to upgrade my old PC which my son now uses for gaming. I may review the motherboard etc. later. I researched this processor on the web first, and decided on this particular processor based on comparing prices and performance with what I need, rather than what I might want, and it does all I need. In fact, by writing this review, I am simply adding to the many great reviews out there about this processor, I am yet to read a bad review. Essentially the Athlon 64 X2 6000+ is simply two cores (processors) at 3GHz with 1MB of L2 cache per core. This is pretty awsome when you consider that... AMD Athlon 64 X2 4400+ / 2.2 GHz ... bought 4 of these Processors off Ebuyer a few weeks back, I got them at £49.48 each which I would say is a complete bargain. The Processor its self is Socket AM2 which means it has 940 Pins on it. It is also Dual Core so it should be able to handle Windows Vista and many other high demanding applications. The Processor came in a Small Box Made of cardboard like usual the boxes and it contained 1 Processor, License For Warranty with instructions and 1 Heat sink and Fan with thermal paste pad already on the heat sink all you have to do is remove the plastic and install the heat sink as usual.
