I think it is a good value dual core processor, compatible in several of the motherboards I own. Dual core processors are designed to cope with Multi tasking and the 6000+ is no exception. I find that I can watch tv, surf the internet and e... Read the full review: Good Dual Core Processor for am2 motherboards by aled99 |

AMD Athlon 64 X2 5000+ / 2.6 GHz Energy Efficient ... have built around 50 computer systems for friends and family, so I would consider myself an expert in system building and computer products. I have again and again come back to this same processor to put in a wide array of systems. The reason for this is its excellent bang for buck ratio. This chip will outperform many similarly priced intel dual core products. OK for high end systems go for intel, but if you are looking for a mid range system with no intention to overclock then AMD is the one for me. I currently use this in my media centre system in my living room, where it comfortably handles HD playback, gaming, and more general PC use. If you dont want to spend a... AMD Athlon 64 X2 6000+ / 3 GHz ... Vs Intel.... Its always a debate. I think most technical experts would say that an Intel processor always outperforms that of an AMD processor with the same specification all be it by a slight margain. However the benefit of a AMD processor is they are much cheaper to purchase and sometimes that slight margain of performance difference can be overlooked, especially when your on a tight budget. The dual core aspect obviously enbables your machine to designate its tasks and workload much easier, ... Read the full review: AMD 64 X2 6000 + by Jingodan |

AMD Athlon 64 X2 6000+ / 3 GHz ... comprehensive website where anyone that has a technical mind (I am not dim about this, but also not fascinated) can get info to their hearts desire, the essential info for anyone with my limited knowledge base listed is below: Processor AMD AthlonTM 64 X2 Dual-Core Model Number 6000+ Frequency (MHZ) 3000 L2 Cache Size (KB) 2048 Socket AM2 Source: http://www.amd.com/gb-uk/ What does all this mean? Well, for a start, it is as fast as most folks will need, and a lot cheaper than an Intel processor, for the tecchies, apparantly it is easy to overclock (make faster still). In old money the processing power is not quite as fast as having two, seperate 3ghz proce... Read the full review: AMD have it for me. by paulhanton |
