Good Dual Core Processor for am2 motherboards (AMD Athlon 64 X2 6000+ / 3 GHz)
Member Name: aled99
Advantages: Must faster than single core, compatible (with lots of motherboards) Disadvantages: None at time of lauch, but quite old processor now.
Although this processor is a little old now I still use it in my pc, and it can cope with some modernish games at medium resoultion (also depedent on having a good graphics card). I think it is a good value dual core processor, compatible in several of the motherboards I own. Dual core processors are designed to cope with Multi tasking and the 6000+ is no exception. I find that I can watch tv, surf the internet and encode video all at the same time. It was a good upgrade from my 2ghz single core processor with a noticable increase in speed for any task. Summary: Good processor, but not for running latest games at full quality.
