A well designed but dated processor (AMD Athlon XP 2000+ / 1.67 GHz)

Advantages: Low heat emissions, readily available Disadvantages: Low performace by modern standards
The Athlon XP range of processors were a great success for AMD, and were perhaps the first point where AMD had a genuine and sustained technical advantage over their great rival, Intel. Summary: A reliable, dependable desktop processor.
