AMD Black Edition Phenom X4 9850 / 2.5 GHz

Amd Have used for many years never had any problms with any of there cpus and last week made the upgrade to one of the above and i must say what a rock soiled cpu. Very fast decided on getting a better cooler for it as the idl temps where a little too high for my liking as i have gone and overclocked this to 3ghz and not had any problems with it yet. I would of gone for a 3GHz but there a little out my price range. What i really like about amd is that they are so cheap and if something needs to be updated or parts needed they are again very cost effective and cost next to nothing for parts or upgrades for them. The reason why some people have always preferred AMD over Intel processors is that AMD processors have always been cost-effective. As pointed out by a Ciao member Mohit "You pay only for the technology you want to use". Think about an Intel processor. When you buy a fast Intel processor then other than the basic processor package, you are also paying for the loads of inbuilt Intel technologies that comes along with it.
