Good amd quad core at decent price (AMD Phenom 9500 / 2.2 GHz)
Member Name: JackED42
Advantages: Quick, cheap Disadvantages: Not as good as intel quad cores at similar prices I recently bought this processor after having the fan stop on my old CPU and it breaking. It was the AMD 6400+. I therefore decided to get a quad core, but was quite unsure whether it woud run the games I want well; as a lot of them do not support quad core. However, I was pleasantly suprised as it seems to run all the games I have tried very well, including ones that don't have native support for quad core. If you often use programs such as winrar; this will increase the speed astronomically compared to single and dual core processors. However, I would only purchase this if you only have a motherboard with AMD sockets and don't want to change motherboard. To get a better processor at a similar price it is definately better to go Intel. So if building your own computer I would recommend to get a motherboard with an intel socket. Summary: If possible go with intel, if already with AMD this might be the processor for you!
