... I bought this processor when I was upgrading my PC. The installation was very simple. Just remove your current processor, slot in this great processor, then stick on the heat-sink fan. Done. Then install the drivers that are provided, which is also very simple. Performance- This has a 2.8 GHz processing speed, which can be over-clocked to over 3 GHz, but this isn t needed because it is very fast anyway... AMD Phenom 9500 / 2.2 GHz ... Phenom 9500 quad core processor reviewed. I m not the biggest PC hardware master, but I have some knowledge about it, and I need to say that this processor surprised me with it s great power. It uses socket AM2+, but I ve heard it works on AM2 socket unfortunately on AM2 socket you can t use it s full potential due to changes in processor architecture. The 65 nm technology does not only save energy but as well it keeps the CPU cooler, it does not produce so much heat. The 4 cores make it a great choice for people who use many applications at the same time, like a busy office worker. AMD Athlon 64 X2 6000+ / 3 GHz ... this processor is a little old now I still use it in my pc, and it can cope with some modernish games at medium resoultion (also depedent on having a good graphics card). I think it is a good value dual core processor, compatible in several of the motherboards I own. Dual core processors are designed to cope with Multi tasking and the 6000+ is no exception. I find that I can watch tv, surf the internet and encode video all at the same time. It was a good upgrade from my 2ghz single core processor with a noticable increase in speed for any task. AMD Phenom II X4 810 / 2.6 GHz ... built my custom pc about 2 months ago now i made it amazing HD audio and graphics , 4Gb of ram and lots fo heatsiks so its nice and quite, i bought this processor because i wanted quad core because i was bored of dual core and how slow it was for me, i needed to stick to my budget and this was the cheapest one, i installed it with ease nice simple click in, it came with a heatsink and fan so it doesn t overheat making it perform to its best, i started by using it with windows 7 and lots of programs and doing lots of typing etc.. at the same time to check it out, it loads up with in 10 seconds easy maybe even 5, this i quick enough for me, due to the price i was even abl...
