AMD Phenom 9500 / 2.2 GHz:

I therefore decided to get a quad core, but was quite unsure whether it woud run the games I want well; as a lot of them do not support quad core. However, I was pleasantly suprised as it seems to run all the games I have tried very well, including ones that don t have native support for quad core. If you o... AMD Black Edition Phenom X4 9950 / 2.6 GHz ... of the leading AMD chips just 3 months ago! I am a system builder and build quite a number of system for diffrent people. i have recently built myself a new pc that i used this cpu for and it is nothing but amazing! compared to my old banger of a celeron d cpu this thing blows it out of the water completly! The absolute unique selling point of this chip to me was the fact that it is a black edition. those of you who are aware a black edition can help you easliy improve the speed of your chip with simple editing of the bios settings. All AMD black edition CPU s come with unlocked muliplyers which means it is easy to ocerclock (making the speeds faster in return fo... Read the full review: rapid! by 0118 |

AMD Athlon 64 3800+ / 2.4 GHz ... 3800+? What s that? AMD s Athlon 64 was a big hit for desktop users and gamers and took advantage of specific 64bit code where available and supported. In 2005 AMD entered the foray of next gen processors with its first dual core cpu. The term dual core refers to the two independent 64bit cores on the same die effectively giving two processors a place on a single motherboard socket. AMD Phenom II 940 Quadcore 3Ghz ... NOT disappoint! With masses and masses of power it will spit out anything with grace and style and is the equivelant to using a nuclear device to knock off a door! full on over kill but done with pure style and less mushrooming and carnage! so the basic standard is 3Ghz x4 when it comes out of the box... ok, so for many times as much you can have Pentiums I7 with more oomph and quicker! but the AMD comes into its own when you decide to overclock the already beastly device! i have read in bench tests it has peaked at 5Ghz! but definitely not recommended! i think 3.5-4Ghz is a safe bet, for standard cooling and pre-set voltages..... but that is still a whopping 14Ghz of c...
