Intels processing power froma year or two ago (Intel Core 2 Duo E6750 / 2.66 GHz)

Advantages: good reliable processor that is like a work horse, keeps on going Disadvantages: not the fastest on the market Intel in the early days always battled against AMD but now have the market performance wise. Intel have always been the colder running of the two companies and now always a lot fast. This little processor is no acception. Now im going to jump straight into it by saying if your into overclocking this is an amazing processor. The highest clock i ever got out of it was 3.77GHz but i know people who are very daring with voltages who have got it up and over the 4GHz mark!!!! So yes, this processor is a beast for overclocking. Performance wise it is now far from being the best out there. When i got mine it was in the day when quad cores were stupidly expensive and anything clocked higher than this was priced very high. But i heard from a few people that the one above this is exactly the same but just overclocked, so you can think of the E6850 as the E6750 OC edition!!! At the time compatibility was an issue but now all mother board have released new bioses supporting this new fsb speed. If your looking for preformance look at newer processors but if your looking for something that will perform very well and last you a good few years, run all the latest games and application and will do for a couple more years then this is the processor you should get, it will not let you down in the slightest. Summary: Good If your looking for something that will be able to run multi apps for a good few years
