      Brilliant CPU. Cant fault it.

I got this processor back in Feb 2008 and I am writing this review over 3 years later as a bit of a tribute to this fine little CPU. The main use for the computer was, and still is to be a gaming machine.

Back when I first got the CPU I was running it with a Radeon 3870x2 which was the premier card at the time. Every game I tried ran perfectly at 1920x1200 except Crysis, but back then NOTHING could run Crysis properly.

Over the months and years games have come and gone, this little thing soldiered on knocking everything out of the park. Only with the release of Metro 2033 did I notice a few judders here and there in terms of frame rate. It was kind of funny how about a week later my video card died. I went out and got a nice Radeon 5850. When I tried Metro 2033 with this new card... ah the joy - lovely frame rates.

Only recently with the release of Deus Ex Human Revolution and Battlefield 3 has the little tyke finally met its match. What a servant it has truly been to me.

Outside of the gaming universe its never put a foot wrong in the windows environment. Anything you want done, gets done, and quickly too.

      Brilliant CPU.

The Intel Core 2 Duo processors are built in several of the world's most advanced, high-volume output manufacturing facilities using Intel's leading silicon process technology. The processor family is based on the revolutionary Intel Core microarchitecture, designed to provide powerful yet energy-efficient performance. With the power of dual cores, or computing engines, the processors can manage numerous tasks faster. They also can operate more smoothly when multiple applications are running, such as writing e-mails while downloading music or videos and conducting a virus scan.
