This is my favorite processor and I love to have this in my one of the PC at home due to its great performance and speed. Some processors are really very affordable and trustable with long run capacity and features to provide similar kind of performance as new one. This processor also a kind of processor which can give us reliable performance with its advanced features and speed.
***
Core2 duo family from Intel is very popular and most of the desktop PCs and notebooks have this one as first priority. We haven't seen quad core processor in any notebook and core 2 duo processors are most popular with almost all notebooks. But there are slightly differences in notebook processors and desktop processors. We have some low power consuming series processors for notebooks and slightly higher one for desktop PCs as they don't need DC power for long. Usually we run all desktop PCs with AC power so that we need not to worry about power consumption in processors, but it is important factor in such a manners that we also need low power consuming devices in hot climatic reasons. High power consuming devices will generate more heats and they will create uncomfortable working environment. So Intel has good solution for this problem with controlled data bus speed and 45nm technology for low power consuming processors.

This processor also has similar kind of technology with its 45 nm technology. The most important features of this processor is its great 3.16 GHz of superfast clock speed and 6 MB of L2 cache size. Point is considerable that 3.26 GHz speed is generally considered as very fast speed. Generally we have less than 3 GHz of speed in many other processors. This type of speed provides very fast performance with almost all applications and games.
***
Next important point is its superb 6 MB of cache memory. We have seen that many of other dual core processors have about 3 MB OF CACHE MEMORY. But this processor has very good capacity of cache memory for fast performance. Cache memory require for temporary data storage in processor while processing duration and it help fast access with keeping non active data as pending.

How can we forget front side data bus speed and that is more important for time saving process. This processor has ultrafast 1333 MHz of front side data bus speed and it is a good companion with ddr3 memory (RAM). 1333 MHz of speed is not such a general speed and it can run all latest applications with fast speed and can transfer data with high speed and less time.
***
Processor has desired performance and it will never disappoint you in any process. The recommended use of this processor is in latest version of applications like heavy graphics software's, 3ds max, and other animation applications. You need at least quad core processor and DDR3 RAM for heavy process like in Autodesk Maya and 3ds max with good graphics memory. But we can't take this processor so easy as it is not lesser in any aspect with quad core family processors. So think it like quad core processor and have it in core 2 duo price. Recommended.

Summary: think like E8500

With so many problems in the grammar here I just can't rate this any higher.

A reminder that my system's getting on a bit. Currently running a E6750 (2.66GHz) in my machine. Still perfroms fine though so won't be upgrading as yet.

Not useful to a consumer - this is jargon heavy, the English is poor and it's too difficult to read to be of use.
