The Intel Quad Core Q6600 from my knowleadge is the lowest model for the Quad Core range but in my opinion is the best for and so cheap. From what I last heard from a friend Intel have knocked it of its shelf and are no longer producing this product and have replaced it, why, I don't really know but I see nothing wrong with this besides it's better then several ranges above it in some categories. This processor offers 4 cores which gives you 4x the speed of processing information for your computer. I personally believe that this has to be the best processor I've ever had and the cheapest. I'm sure this can be used for a wide range of people due to its price and power.

This process can easily process games, videos, IMing and much more all at once; I've tried it! Although it's obvious that the higher the range , the better, in this case I believe this model tops some higher models in the Quad Core range. So if you're tempted to get a Quad Core I'd recommend this, if you're not sure why, then compare the ones you've looked at to this model. Specifically look at it's GHz, L2 MB and MHz.

Granted the higher the GHz the better, but this beauty has a high L2 cache. For people who want to install this, (Considering this was new to me) it is an easy install processor and this processor doesn't hold any pins compared to the P4s I use in college.
