A cheap, yet sufficient CPU for most everyday tasks :)

It was about 1 year ago that I was looking for a CPU to replace my aging E2180 dual core processor. The E6300 seemed like the ideal choice while the E5200 was a close second. Doling out only ~$80 for a brand new, fully functional processor with some good power and awesome overclocking abilities. It was one of the best buys I made in a long time. Stable, cool with the 45nm die fabrication process and with abilities to go up-to an easy 3.4ghz on stock fans, it was the mini powerhouse I demanded but had yet to receive. Intel earned my respect here. A fast and power-efficient processor, it was the center of my HTPC and rightfully so. It has been running for about 1 year without a hitch and the fan speed remained generally low. It required little intervention from my part apart from the once in 3-4 months cleaning. Kudos to Intel for making some of the best products to date. :)
