Uniformed Police Officer:
... was a Police Officer for a period of 3 and a half years. Not an overly long time to be doing the job, but not a short time either. Deciding to join the Police. All through my life, I have only ever wanted to be a Firefighter. Anyone else who wants to do that will know just how hard it is to become one. As such, at the age of 18, I decided I needed a job that would give me similar satisfaction as a career in ... Read the full review: Could be the career for you. by Dexter01 |

Social Worker ... m a qualified social worker, and have been since I completed my BA degree in Social Work last summer. I m working as a social worker for a local authority not, with vulnerable adults. It s a very interesting job, but it s also very full on... I ve currently got a case load in the mid twenties, and when I m at work I rarely get a minute s peace. There s always people to ring or visit. I originally became a social worker because I wanted to work with people, my degree took three years to complete, although if you ha... Read the full review: Social Work by cezzybunny |

Now i understand some of you may be thinking well thats a waste of time, surely it s more important to advance in ... Read the full review: Gap Year-Not just fun, you learn so much! by powsucks |

The plus points are that you undertake an extremely intensive 4-6 week training course which means you are 100% confident in the air (normally you only have 3 crew for 150 people, fine normally but what happens if something medical or an emergency happens - no-one to deal with but you!), the shift patterns are three days off, three early starts (4am) then 4 lates (2pm) which is great as you hardly seem to feel you are at work and you can easily fit in a second j...
