	Accountancy ... was not on my list as a child of the career path I planned to follow when I grew up. In fact had I had a list of careers I did not want to follow- it would have sat comfortably on that. However, Once upon a time I was sent to a company by an agency to work as a temporary general clerk. On arrival, I was informed that it was not a general clerk they had booked, but a figure clerk. I said "Sorry I will ring the agency", to which they responded- well you are here now, we will give it a go if you will. 	Office Manager ... you are a member of the office staff reporting to management, you often fail to appreciate the reasons behind the manager s actions or reactions. It is only when you become that manager that it all suddenly becomes crystal clear. For example, as a member of staff do you fail to see why arriving ten minutes late is a big deal- well let me tell you:- the office manager knows all the work that has to be completed that day, and who is going to be doing it. 	Self-Employment ... only the seriously masochistic need apply. Having been self-employed for the best part of thirty years, I think I am ready to make a judgement on whether it s better to be employed or self-employed.
