Software Trainer:
... few years ago, I was sitting in Cornwall minding my own business knowing nothing about Computers. I realised that computers were fast taking over the world. Now my idea wasn t really world domination, but I would rather dominate computers than have them dominate me. So not being one to do things by halves, I decided to do a Degree in Computer science. That was a very rude awakening as I was getting on a bit and no... Read the full review: Software Trainers by karenroach |

Software Trainer ... review is written from my personal experiences of working as a Software Trainer. I haven’t listed a job description for the role as one could look that up quite easily from various job search websites on the net… ~ BACKGROUND ~ I worked as a Software Trainer for over 5 years during the 90s. I got into the role in rather an unusual way. I’d been working for a company for a while as a temp and really enjoyed working with the friendly people there in the HR (Human Resources) department. One day I was approached by the HR Manager and asked if I would be interested in working there permanently as they were considering creating a full time position for a PC Training Off... Computer Programmer ... geeks with huge coke bottle glasses and big bald foreheads. That's the image that comes to mind when most people are asked to visualize the average computer programmer. Well, I'm far from bald and speccy, and I've been a programmer for four years, ever since I left university! When I was younger, programmers were up there with nuclear physicists and mathematicians in my vague understanding of the level of intelligence needed for a particular job. I never in a million years thought I'd become one myself! But here I am, and amazingly enough, I've grown to quite like my job. If you're considering a career as a programmer, this opinion ma... Information Systems Manager ... seems to be an area that many people want to get into as a career. Hardly a day goes by without me hearing someone saying on TV or in public that they are thinking of, or are moving into IT. Much of the appeal I guess is to do with perceived rewards - IT Managers and personnel generally enjoy high rewards and benefits compared to many other careers. Additionally with a greater general awareness of computers (i.e. people having and using them at home, at work etc.) people feel that a career in IT could be achievable. The recent Dot-com boom (and bust) also no doubt has attracted many "get rich quick" fans to a career in IT with the hope of being mi...
