Volunteer International is one of the many organisations that provide paid work ( you''''re paying, that is) to individuals who wishes to volunteer and gain some experience overseas. You can choose from an array of programmes and projects around the world in any type of voluntary work. The cost of what you pay, part of it goes into administration and additional arrangements whilst you are overseas. Do remember that the prices advertised often do not include flight ticket and visa fees.
I highly recommend such sort of work to anyone who is interested or just wants to gain some experience outside of their home country - if you have the money to spare. There are some programmes that are ridiculously over-charged, so beware of that and make sure to do your research before committing to a project.
It''''s a wonderful way to meet with fun, adventurous friends; also to learn from other cultures. Last but not least, voluntary work abroad adds quite a spice to your CV, even more if you wish to work in that particular voluntary organisation or field.
It all comes down, really, if you want to pay to work. Effectively ''''buying'''' experience here. There are plenty of other organisations around cities that need voluntary workers, of course you may argue that they are not nearly as fulfilling and fun. In all, I''''d recommend Volunteer International to whoever who wants to travel, taste different regions of the world, and at the same time be doing something meaningful to the community.
