IBM Object REXX Interpreter Edition 2.1 ... versions of classic REXX and provides an easy migration path to the world of objects. Because it can be used with REXX conventional programming, Object REXX protects your investment in existing REXX program code. It provides many programming interfaces to existing applications, such as DB2, C, and C++ applications.

Each Object REXX program runs only on systems where an Object REXX Interpreter has been preinstalled. The Interpreter Edition allows to run and to develop Object REXX programs. It offers a wide range of REXX known utilities, APIs to other existing applications, and a powerful trace facility.
