Sony VPL EX1 ... used this Sony Projector for about one year along with my Sony Vaio Laptop. Being compact it was easy to carry around and setting up was quick and easy, without all the complicated buttons and adjustments some beamers seem to have. It was reliable and sturdy, even though it got banged about a bit and showed no sign of being affected by a bit of accidental rough treatment. Height adjustment is simple and reliable but I could have done with some further adjustment. It ran out of elevation just before the ideal setting for my presentation. Sanyo PLC SU50S ... hanging around with a flowery introduction - let s get straight to the point. Great functionality - easy to set-up - superb brightness. Expensive - poor sound. In a nutshell those are the positive and negative points of this projector. For my overall opinion, read through to the end. First of all allow me to explain the title for those that are not aware of keystone correction. Keystone has to be the most bizarre term doing the rounds in technology today and if anybody can use their language skills and explain a little etymology of the word I would appreciate it as I have no idea where it comes from. Infocus X1 ... boyfriend expected to pay 800 pounds plus for a budget projector that would have a good enough picture quality to play xbox games on and watch action films. He payed £499 for the infocus x1 at Pcworld although he was told that the picture wouldnt be particularly clear we had a good feeling about it . We got it home and set it up and after fidding about with the leads for some time managed to connect it to the xbox. There we sat then for the next hour, mouths open with awe. The picture was clear, text was crisp and we get a 5ft by 5 ft picture from about 8 ft from the wall. The clarity is amazing, you even start to forget its just projected on the wall and its see...
