Optoma EP706:
... far as projectors go, this is at the low end of the scale. I bought mine for £250, a bargain considering the quality. The unit is very small - it s like Optoma squeezed it into the bottom third of a bookshelf speaker. It s also quite light, it feels not much heavier than a large book. Build quality is ok, for £250 i got a little bit more than i was expecting in terms of rigidity. The only exception is the silly l... Read the full review: Great on a Budget by chids |

Optoma EP706 ... couple of my taller friends have bashed their heads on it, and it s not so much as flickered. The quality s not quite up there with the big HD projectors, but if you re just starting out with a home cinema setup, you could do a lot worse. Going through the functions, it has plenty to fiddle with, from gamma correction, different light modes, and of course you can turn the image upside down or invert it depending on what you want to do. Optoma Movietime DV10 ... Optoma MovieTime DV10 is a home cinema enthusiasts dream. Having its own integrated DVD player and amplifier allows the use to unpack, plug in and project your movies to a white wall or dedicated screen within minutes. Signal source selection is straight forward. The unit scans the input ports at the rear of the unit and also scans the integrated DVD drive for an inserted disc. If there are multiple sources connected then you can toggle between these using a button on the supplied remote. For D... Read the full review: Home cinema in a bag by otalgia |

I was sitting back in my armchair the one day, watching old videos on my 14 inch TV, and suddenly thought Hey! I have a bit of extra cash floating around. Ill buy a projector! . So off I trotted to Dixons in the high street where upon entering I spotted the mother of all Projectors (Ok it was more of a baby projector lol but you get my drift) with a price tag of only £281.05! $_$ Ca ching! To be honest, Ive never seen a projector this cheap and even though it doesnt come with a special screen to project the image onto, I found that my wall was t...
