Advantages: Cheap and well lasting projector and bulb runs very quietly as well

Disadvantages: Bulbs arnt cheap nearlly 150 pounds but after six months of good usuage the bulb has lasted

My wife and I have always wanted to purchase a data projector to shine on our wall turning our wall into a large screen TV after reading many reviews and talking to numerous sales assistants we decided on the Acer X1130.
What attracted me to this product were the competitive price and the reviews I had read stating that this product seemed to de designed well compact and a long lasting bulb.
Well I can tell you the reviews are true after unblocking the new projector we were plugged in and ready to attach to our laptop. Within a few minutes
The only issue I discovered was that the serial cable that connects the projector and the laptop was quite small about 1 meter which wasn't long enough for us but after travelling down to the local IT store I picked up a 5 meter cable relative cheaply. Once I attached the projector the laptop recognised the new device and installed some drivers when asked I inserted the CD that came with the projector for a very easy installation. I can truthfully say that within Five minutes of turning on the projector we had a welcome page showing against our wall.

The picture quality is fantastic its not HD quality but for the price you cant complain and the bulb has lasted well and has not needed to be changed in the last six months of usage and we must have the projector running a couple if not more hours per night.
I am very excited about this projector as its really fantastic to watch DVD's or even BBC I player I would suggest that you need a largish lounge as you wouldn't want to sit really close to the screen as you can start to see some blurring in the picture when very near the screen.
I would also like to point out that even when these projects are now very cheap compared to a few years ago the bulbs are still very expensive nearly 150 pounds depending where you buy them from.
Saying that the projector is well built didn't break after a small drop by myself the second day we had it the picture quality is great and the bulb has lasted well
This projector does everything it says on the box I would recommend this product to anyone as I am very happy with it
