I really like this projector, as it was right in my budget range and seemed to be such a multi-purpose projector. Of course for projectors, this was considered one of the more affordable medium end projectors and not a high end one, so performances would still not be at the top. However, for presentation purposes that I used for my middle school students and for my own usages at home on the weekends for movies with friends, it was perfect!
The MP623 is equipped with 2500 ANSI lumens which is more than enough to illuminate the white board in a classroom and way more than enough for a dark enclosed room, for movies per say. The projector is compatible with formats such as 720p, 1080i, 576i, 576p, 480p, 480i; which includes DVD players, TV's, etc. It also comes with an HDMI port, so you could hook up your gaming consoles to the projector and play on the 100" screen that you will project! Native resolution is at 1024x768 (standard 4:3 XGA), but can be extended to 1280x1024. The MP623 is capable of throwing projections of up to over 100 inches, with 2500:1 contrast ratio, which is extremely high compared to most of its competing LCD projectors.

Inside, quiet-running cooling fan also includes a noise-absorbing sponge while rubberized components dampen vibration that can cause noise. Outside, high elasticity rubber stops resonance with table tops in its tracks.
BenQ has designed for a smoother flow of air through the MP623. This lowers heat and allows exhaust fans to run at lower speeds for lower noise.
