I bought this projector for two reasons: one, I wanted a projector to use in my classroom, two, I wanted a projector for my own personal use. After months of research, why did I land upon the MP670? Well, for the school that I teach in, currently under extremely low funding, has never given me a projector to work with, and now with the economic slump, I doubt I'd be any closer, so I decided to dig into my personal savings and invest in one myself. The MP670 has a native resolution of 4:3 which is more ideal for teaching purposes and was the reason why I got it. However, for personal usages I'd connect it to watch my DVD's.
Yes, this projector does not have HD nor is it native with the 16:9 displays, but it is affordable and it does pretty well to adapt to 16:9 I must say! At only 6 pounds this thing is mobile, and I bring it back and forth from the classroom to my house every day. Since it's easy as pie to set up I just move the thing around wherever I want! Another reason why I chose this projector is because of its 3,200 lumens, which I found useful in the classroom and also at home as I don't have great lighting control during the day. This is a great investment and would invite others to join me!
The BenQ MP670 is one of the best educational data projectors that I have worked with in my professional teaching career. The comparative between price and performance is just absolutely amazing. For under a grand you get a 3,000 lumen projector with 3,000:1 contrast ratio. The projector has low audible noise so it is gone unnoticeable while using. The projector is 4:3 native resolutions but is adaptable with 1080p or 16:9 displays. Although it doesn't turn out to be true 16:9, it is not far from a low end HD projector. But for teaching purposes a Full HD projector wouldn't exactly be practical, so the MP670 is perfect in that sense.
Operating the projector is simple as assembling LEGO. There isn't much to it. You get your projector out of the box, you plug in the power and hook the projector to your laptop and you focus on the image done at the front of the projector, and you're good to go. The projects well with all Microsoft programs; .PDF files, images, videos, or even web browsing. This projector would definitely be recommended to institutions for its affordable price range and range of capabilities it's packaged with. This projector would fit schools for its integrated network capabilities, to ease the connectivity to the main I.T. server.
3D instruction will be the latest trend in education, opening up the opportunities in teaching methods for educators and students alike. BenQ projectors and DLP Link are taking teaching to a dimension of effectiveness and enjoyment... at no extra costs. And unlike the traditional 3D projector system, which requires two perfectly aligned projectors to transmit two separate video feeds in order to deliver a 3D projection, MP670 has mastered 3D display so as to require only one projector equipped with Front Project 3D DLP Link technology.
BenQ is proud to introduce Crestronsupported RoomView network service for school. MP670 is Crestron RoomView-supported to provide IT personnel and projector managers simplified real-time, facility-wide central access and control over a single projector or groups of projectors simultaneously via a single station.
MP670 boasts high contrast ration with 3000:1. High contract ratios translate to razor-sharp detail definition and a broader range of subtle color differences, which makes text is sharper, cleaner, and easy to read and in turn grab students' attention and interest.
With build-in 10W speaker with the MP670, not only do you get the vivid visual performance, you get the same audio satisfaction, too!
