Switching from an LCD projector, we were told to go DLP and were recommended to look at BenQ educational projectors. We were happy with the selling points on this projector which is similar to other BenQ projectors, but we went with this one specifically because of price and other features. Most of the new BenQ projectors seem to have increased bulb hour capacity up to 5000 hours if used on eco mode which we enjoyed the idea, as most of the time we do use this projector on eco mode. Another idea that we enjoyed about DLP technology was that we wouldn't have to invest more funds to maintenance our projectors because of dust, as DLP's have a more enclosed design. We won't have to worry about color decay as well. Overall this projector performs far better than our previous projector, but probably because it was getting old and the colors were off balance. A great feature that new projectors seem to have is wired networking which allows our IT department to control the projectors from their office instead of having the teachers keep an eye on bulb hours and what not. Also another great feature is that the MX711 also has a zoom function which allows us to zoom in so we can mount the projector closer to the screen (but we're told many projectors do that now adays). Mainly I want to say that this projector has been working very well for the past few months and am very pleased with it and would like to give my opinion to others who have considered this unit.
