The projector requires a password to be entered whenever reconnected to mains power and can only be operated by remote control - there isn't even a power button on the projector. So, to ensure security and prevent unauthorized use, simply keep the password confidential and the remote control in a safe place when the EMP-83e is not in operation. In addition, each time the EMP-83e is powered on and has no input to display, a customizable warning message appears.

To further deter potential thieves, the EMP-83e features a bold warning message on the case and it’s also supplied with a security pack which includes warning window stickers and posters.

Intuitive functionality including 'Instant Off' means there's no waiting around after finishing your lesson and, with Automatic Vertical Keystone correction (to ± 30º), images are instantly aligned no matter what the classroom size.

Flexible and adaptable, the EMP-83e integrates with whiteboard systems, or it can be used to simply project onto a screen, blackboard or wall. Using the optional mount kit, the projector can be permanently ceiling fixed in the classroom. Weighing only 2.9kg, the EMP-83e is lightweight and portable so, with its enhanced security features, it’s the ideal mobile solution. For extra convenience it can also be monitored remotely via the network, using a third-party device.

The Epson EMP-83e accepts input data up to SXGA and from two PCs, allowing you to conveniently switch between them. The built-in speaker offers excellent audio support, and optional cables are available to connect to a range of other sources, such as DVD players and digital cameras.

Epson patented E-TORL lamp ensures clear visibility, even in light rooms, giving increased brightness for lower power consumption than standard lamps. The smaller, brighter, energy efficient E-TORL lamp lasts up to 4000 hours.
