Sharp Vision XV-C1E: ... projector has done very well unfortunatly it is starting to die. It has started getting very hot so i am looking for another to replace it. Well anyway this is a great projector and has with stood years and years of use it has moved 3 times with us could be the dust which has killed it. spencer_hawken Epson EMP S5
... m a bit weird, not much of a surprise I guess. One of my big vices is 8mm and 16mm movies with a big old fashioned movie projector. A few years ago a combination of a very expensive stereo projector and my other half s backside bought my happy viewing to an end. Forced to sell my now broken projector (replacing the damage was expensive to say the least) my dreams of home projection movies came to an end. Last year I got close to the feel of projected movies with a prize of a massive TV over 60 inches of screen to be precise, the novelty was great but it meant moving the room around was a practical impossibility. chids Optoma EP706
... far as projectors go, this is at the low end of the scale. I bought mine for £250, a bargain considering the quality. The unit is very small - it s like Optoma squeezed it into the bottom third of a bookshelf speaker. It s also quite light, it feels not much heavier than a large book. Build quality is ok, for £250 i got a little bit more than i was expecting in terms of rigidity. The only exception is the silly little leg that allows you to raise to projector for higher mounted screens. The unit comes with an handy remote control that allows you to control everything except for the focus, zoom and stand height. As far as feature go this unit is about in the middle. ...

... have been using the Panasonic PT AX 100E as my main TV for just over a year now. I paid £900 for it then, but the price has dropped and even the improved PT AX200 can now be bought for about £700. The picture quality is extremely good in a dark room and quite watchable during the day even with the curtains open for all but the darkest movies. In bright conditions the colours can become a little washed-out although there are various viewing options on the remote control to compensate a little. For some very dark films however you should wait until the room can be blacked out completely. The lens is large and of very high quality with a wide ranging zoom. Many home cine...
